Mulled Wine
Incense for Meditation
Lesley produced some delicious mulled wine for our Yule ritual. Normally we have a little mead in the course of the proceedings, but this wonderful concoction was just what was needed on a chilly day. For tradition’s sake, Lesley was careful to include a little mead in the recipe…
Ingredients
- 1 bottle (75cl) red wine
- 25cl Mead
- 1 sherry glass of Port
- 1 heaped tablespoon Juniper berries
- 16 Cloves
- pinch freshly grated nutmeg
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 1 tablespoon runny honey
- 3 Blackcurrant tea bags
- sugar to taste
Method
Put all ingredients in a bowl. Cover and leave for at least 1 hour. Heat until it just comes to the boil (you don't want to boil off all the alcohol). Strain, serve and enjoy.
