The Necropolis

Glasgow’s Necropolis is a place full of history, sited on one of the most prominent hills in the area. When we visited it on July 15th we could see, clearly, many of the hills around the city, including Camp Hill and the trees around the “druid stones” there.
Some of the gravestones in the Necropolis are decorated with Celtic designs, such as the Celtic cross shown here. A totally unexpected bonus was seeing two roe deer running through the Necropolis. Fortunately, Ros had her camera and managed to get some decent shots before they ran off:
